I’m Lauren – I’ve been working on this blog for quite some time. Let me tell you… I am learning to let things happen even if they aren’t perfect. So here we are!
My house journey has been quite the experience. We started a few years back and are just getting started. I will document our journey here, the good and the bad (again, I’m learning). But first, let me tell you a bit about myself. Please tell me about yourself in the comments, I would absolutely love to hear from you!!
We always have many projects going on, our houses are never spotless, and my crazy ideas run wild – like that time I rescued three horses and a 100 year old house at one time.
I have two little girls at home (and one in heaven). Their names are Elliot, June & Ever – they are my world.
My husband Lukas puts up with the crazy, is the world’s greatest handyman, and makes a mean batch of fresh cheese curds. It’s almost like he is from Wisconsin… oh wait.
I work for a Real Estate Development company, have my real estate license in Colorado, and soak up every single minute of it. If you drive freely without destinations, have a list of potential projects on your google maps, and tiptoe into abandoned buildings like me – we can be besties!
Old things are my absolute favorite! Funny, innocent memory – my high school crush told me my bedroom looked like his grandma’s… and that’s likely why we never dated! I have been an antique-shopping fool since as long as I can remember. I will buy things just because they’re “cute”, and by “cute” – I mean old. I also fully admit that I have an old furniture problem, with the greatest intentions.
Did I mention our homestead dreams? We have 38 acres, four rescue horses, a jersey milk cow and her adorable baby, a dozen chickens, five guinea hens to fend off the rattlesnakes, and for some added love – kitties and a fluffy dog.
Sometimes my creative writing musings will come out here – you’ll wonder where the heck they came from. And after that, let’s cheers to something new – to adventures ahead. *ting!
